Chester-le-Street is gaining another high-quality bar and restaurant with the opening of The Sticky Wicket at Durham Cricket’s Emirates Riverside ground.
The Sticky Wicket will be a family friendly sports bar combining big screen sports entertainment with live music and a food and drinks menu to suit any taste with some great all-rounders. The extensive menu combines pub classics with grazing options and American bar food. Sundays will see a dedicated Sunday Lunch menu available from 12-6pm.
The spacious venue has 8 large screens, including two 3-meter video walls showing live sports from Sky and BT. There will also be live music every weekend at the venue making it the place to be to relax with friends and family during the day and throughout the evening.
Ramside Hall owner, John Adamson, whose company is developing the venue with Durham Cricket said “We are delighted to be working with Durham Cricket to develop an exciting new bar. We have invested heavily to refit the venue and make it a destination bar for people to relax, enjoy some good food, sport and live music. We are confident it will be a great addition to the ground and the local area.”
Durham Cricket Chief Executive, Tim Bostock, added “We are delighted to be working with John and his team to open The Sticky Wicket at Emirates Riverside. The bar will be a great addition to the venue and the surrounding area and will provide a unique offering to our supporters and the local community.”
The Sticky Wicket will be open every day from 10am-11pm and opens its doors today (Thursday 2 May) with a full weekend of entertainment and live music.
