On winning the toss Durham Dynamos took to the field after asking Saltires to bat on a Glorious day at Emirates Durham ICG.
Davey and Macleod made a steady start to the Saltires innings before Onions had Davey caught at Mid off for 13 with the score on 33.
Macleod and Symes then built on the solid start taking the score to 119 before Macleod was brilliantly caught for a well made 48 by Mustard of the bowling of Claydon.
Berrington then joined Symes at the crease and the pair continued well as the runs flowed and the score moved along to 171 before Berrington holed out to Muchall at deep square off the bowling of Collingwood for 29.
Symes and Mommsen took the Saltires to 259/4 with an aggressive partnership before Symes was bowled off the last ball by Plunkett for a well made 110 from 94 balls. Mommsen finished on 31 not out.
Graham Onions was the pick of the bowlers on a tough day for Durham in the field. He picked up 1-27 from his 8 overs. The 3 other wickets were shared between Claydon, Collingwood and Plunkett.
Chasing 259 Durham openers Mark Stoneman and Phil Mustard put on a mammoth 207 for the opening stand in just 26 overs before Mustard was caught at mid off for a fluent 91 which included hitting one Mommsen over for 20.
Ben Stokes joined Mark Stoneman at the crease and made a brisk 9 before holing out to mid off from the bowling of Haq as he tried to finish the game in a hurry.
With the score at 245-1 Gordon Muchall (12*) came to the crease and with Mark Stoneman saw the team home to register their 2nd CB40 win of the season beating the Saltires by 8 wickets with 39 balls to spare.
Mark Stoneman finished unbeaten on 136 including 18 fours, 4 of which came in one Davey over and one maximum which landed well into the Don Robson pavilion stand.
After his one day best knock of 136* Mark said ” i was pleased with my performance and it was great to reach three figures and to bat throughout the innings and guide us to the win”.
