Strikes to affect ODI train travel

Due to impending Northern Rail strike action on Thursday, all spectators travelling by train for England vs Australia at Emirates Riverside are advised to plan their journey well in advance.

Trains from Chester-le-Street station after the game are affected by the strike action.

There will be NO trains running from Chester-le-Street to Durham after the scheduled close of play at 21:45. The last train will leave at 21:08.

For those who wish to travel south via train after the match, the Club advises taking the shuttle bus service from Emirates Riverside to Durham train station, where services will be running to various destinations after the scheduled close of play. The cost of the shuttle service is £2 per journey.

Due to extra services being put on by TransPennine Express, two trains will be running from Chester-le-Street to Newcastle after the close of play. These leave at 23:13 & 00:31.

More information on train times & the strikes can be found on the National Rail website.
