Brydon Carse, Barry McCarthy and James Weighell are set to make their respective returns from injury in tomorrow’s Second XI Trophy match against Yorkshire.
All three will play as batsman-only at York CC as they step up their return from the sidelines.
Carse has not featured since sustaining a foot injury in a Specsavers County Championship match at Nottinghamshire back in May.
That was also the last game Weighell featured in following three consecutive career-best bowling performances, including 5/33 against Warwickshire, while McCarthy has not played since returning from another impressive stint with Ireland.
It serves as another positive step towards full fitness as they chase spots in the First XI during the season’s final weeks.
This will be the 2nd XI’s final game of the Trophy in 2016 and they currently lie in mid-table.
