Under-17s trial date set

A date has been set for the annual Under-17s trials to be held at Emirates Riverside.

The Club are now inviting applications for trials on two dates – Monday, 14 January & a week later on Monday, 21 January.

The under-17 side have been very successful over the past ten years, reaching the finals of the national competition a number of times, winning the two-day Championship & the One-Day Cup.

In 2019 the Championship will consist of three day games played to Second Eleven Championship rules.  The One-Day Cup competition will be full One-Day International rules using coloured kit & Kookaburra white balls.

Durham play against Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire and Cheshire in a mini league before the group winner moves forward to the national semi-finals.

Successful trialists will then be invited to take part in a seven week training course.

If you would like to take part in the trials, please register your interest & send your cricket CV to becky.cleary@durhamccc.co.uk
