Vic Demain to lead an “Insight into ODI ground preparation” session

Durham CCC Head Groundsman Vic Demain is leading an exclusive session looking at One Day International ground preparation at Emirates Riverside, ahead of the England vs Australia ODI at Chester-le-Street next week.

The event, organised by Durham County Cricket Board Groundstaff Association, will take place on Monday June 18 from 6.00pm until 8.00pm.

With three days to go before the Fourth Royal London ODI, Vic will explain the preparation procedures and discuss the standard required for a One Day International fixture. Attendees will also get the chance to take a look at the square and the outfield.

The two hour session will include a quick visit to the nursery ground and a talk from Ian Powel from the Institute of Groundsmanship.

The event is free for anyone who would like to join. Attendees should meet at The Catherdal Suite, Paul Collingwood Pavilion, Emirates Riverside, Chester le Street at 5.50pm on Monday June 18.
