Vic Demain & Durham’s groundstaff picked up two awards at the Institute of Groundsmanship awards held in Birmingham.
The sold-out ceremony, presented by talkSPORT’s Mark Saggers, saw Demain & his team handed two awards in front of the UK & Europe’s leading experts.
They beat Hampshire to claim the Headland Amenity Professional Cricket Grounds Team of the Year prize.
Demain also scooped Ransomes/DLF Johnsons Alex R Miller Groundsman of the Year for his exceptional work throughout the last 12 months.
Vic, Mark, Ben & Amy have worked tirelessly to keep the ground in excellent condition despite a wet summer.
The team have battled the elements & worked around two huge event installations when Rod Stewart & Little Mix performed at Emirates Riverside, the first of which was conducted in a week of awful weather.
