Durham 206/7dec & 282/6 beat Yorkshire 222 & 262/8dec (JA Thompson 76, HG Duke 36, E.Barnes 34) (SJD Bell 109, JJ Bushnell 69, SW Poynter 40) by 4 wickets
Sol Bell scored a magnificent century as Durham seconds rounded their season off with a four-wicket victory over Yorkshire at Scarborough Cricket Club.
The right-hand batsman led the way in Durham’s chase with 109 from 121 balls with 20 fours as the seconds chased down 282 in overs.
Fellow Academy batsman Jonathan Bushnell supported Bell in a 145-run partnership for the third wicket, with 69 from 103 balls.
Both batsman who play their club cricket at Sacriston in the North East Premier League helped Durham on their way, as Stuart Poynter (40) and Tom Mackintosh (23) contributed to Durham’s winning chase.
Yorkshire added 136 to their overnight score of 126/5 as skipper Jordan Thompson top scored with 76 backed by 36 from Harry Duke and Edward Barnes (34*), before declaring on 262/8 in 77 overs.
James Weighell struck with (3/65) from 18 overs while Ben Whitehead picked up two wickets in victory for Durham.

Starting day two on 12/0, Durham lost two early wickets as Michael Jones and Sol Bell were dismissed in the opening ten overs of the day. Graham Clark stuck in a for a well-made 29 off 56 balls hitting five fours, but Edward Barnes had the Durham opener caught.
Dominic Leech picked up the two wickets of Jonathan Bushnell and Tom Mackintosh, reducing the visiting side to 84/6 and struggling.
However, Matthew Potts continued his fine form for the second team with an unbeaten 69 from 133 balls with eight fours and one six supported by 53 from Stuart Poynter in 78 balls as Durham declared on 206/8 in 65 overs, trailing by 16.
Matthew Potts struck in the third over as Jack Wharton was adjudged LBW for 0 from 9 balls, before Jonathan Bushnell had Tim Loten LBW for 16 from 50 balls, reducing the home side to 45/2.
Ben Whitehead claimed the key wicket of Finely Bean, LBW for 40 while James Weighed picked up one to leave Yorkshire 126/5 from 38 overs at the close of play, leading by 142.
Yorkshire 222 (Loten 64, Bushnell 3-34) lead Durham 12-0 (Clark 9*, Jones 2*) by 210 runs.
Durham are in a commanding position on day one of their three-day friendly against Yorkshire at Scarborough after bowling the hosts out for 222.
Jonathan Bushnell took three wickets on a day where all the Ds bowlers played their part, James Weighell, Matthew Potts and Ben Whitehead claiming two wickets apiece – Rory Hanley with the other.
The hosts did make a good start to their innings with James Wharton (29) and Finely Bean (21) putting on a partnership of 47 before the latter departed caught by Graham Clark off the bowling of Weighell.
Wharton fell soon after to Potts before Tom Loten and George Hill put together a 56-run partnership dominated by the former. At 123-2 the hosts looked comfortable but Durham struck taking eight wickets for 99 runs,
This left a tricky spell for openers Michael Jones and Clark negotiate with the Ds in a strong position on day one.
