YouFibre become main sponsor of DCB Junior League

Durham Cricket is delighted to announce that it has partnered with YouFibre, the affordable ultrafast internet provider. The partnership will see YouFibre become the headline sponsor of the Durham Cricket Board (DCB) Junior League in 2022.

YouFibre will become the prime sponsor of the League, which involves 70 cricket clubs in the upcoming season. The teams will play in five regionalised divisions in competitions ranging from Under-9 all the way through to Under-18 age groups.

The Junior League, run and administered centrally by Durham Cricket, provides a platform for junior teams to play regular cricket in a consistent structure, independent of the senior league in which the club’s First Team plays.

The partnership will see YouFibre banners displayed across all cricket clubs that play in the DCB Junior League.

YouFibre, founded in 2019, has seen exponential growth in recent months as it expands its offer across the UK, providing its customers with internet speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps, compared to the UK average of 79.1Mbps. Its service is already available in Durham along with Houghton-le-Spring, Peterlee, Spennymoor and Stockton, enabling residents with reliable ultrafast speeds for decades to come.

Graeme Weeks, Director of Development at Durham Cricket and DCB Junior League Chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome YouFibre as sponsor of the League.

“It’s fantastic that YouFibre wanted and aspired to support grassroots cricket and have done so on such a big scale through the League, which covers the entire county.

“Their support will mean a lot to recreational cricket clubs and many aspiring young cricketers and on behalf of Durham Cricket and the entire cricket network across the county, we are really grateful.”

Ryan Battle, Managing Director of YouFibre, commented: “We are thrilled to be part of a such a great club as Durham Cricket. The work they put into grassroots sports, laying the foundations for generations to come, is very impressive.

“Our ultrafast internet service ensures residents can do just about anything they want online, allowing multiple devices to stream in HD at once with no interruptions. We’re committed to working with the local community and look forward to expanding our presence across the region.”
