Luke Robinson
19-year-old Robinson enjoyed a breakthrough season with Durham which earned him a 1-year rookie deal ahead of the 2024 season.
Having featured sporadically through the Durham age group system, Durham Academy Director John Windows was impressed with Robinson’s club performances at Philadelphia which saw him awarded an Academy contract in 2021.
Some quick spells for Durham 2XI in their T20 North Group saw Robinson called up for Durham’s T20 Blast game against Leicestershire and he didn’t disappoint with an impressive 2/28 on debut.
Debutant Robinson enjoyed an immediate impact, striking with his third ball to bowl Lewis Hill for 25, offering the home side a way back into the contest. The 19-year-old notched his second wicket as Rishi Patel picked out Alex Lees to put the pressure back on the Foxes.
Robinson also featured in two Metro Bank Cup One Day Cup games, taking 1 wicket from two games, with his maiden List wicket that of Harry Came, in a Durham win by 27 runs.
A product of Philadelphia Cricket Club, Robinson has played at the Bunker Hill ground throughout junior and senior career but has made the move to Chester le Street Cricket Club for the 2024 season.
