Stanley McAlindon
Right-arm quick Stanley McAlindon made two professional appearances during the 2023 season both coming on the first-class stage.
McAlindon’s first appearance of the summer came against Glamorgan in Cardiff where he picked up 1 wicket across two innings when he was was rewarded for his efforts with the first wicket as he found Zain Ul-Hassan’s top edge and Ollie Robinson took a fine diving catch.
The Carlisle born cricketer progressed through the Cumbria pathway before joining Durham Academy in 2020, going onto make huge strides over the past two years.
His Durham first-class debut came against Derbyshire with McAlindon claiming 2/63 with two late wickets to dismiss the Derbyshire tail.
Against Middlesex he claimed two crucial wickets. The youngster found Robson’s outside edge and Eskinazi then presented Nic Maddinson with a simple catch at cover for 18, reducing the visitors to 72 for three, picking up 2/78.
Due to injury McAlindon didn’t play any List A cricket in 2023 and didn’t feature in the T20 Vitality Blast, he was a regular in the Seconds picking up 7 wickets in the Championship and 3 in the T20.
